In case you want to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you will need a unique authorization code, which may be referred to by various names – an EPP authorization code, an AuthInfo code, a domain password, and so on. All these names denote the same thing – a code that the domain registrant receives from the current registrar and provides to the new one at the time of the order. Without an authentic code, a domain transfer procedure cannot be started and this is one of the protection mechanisms against unapproved transfers used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For greater security, the code contains digits and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so in case you’d like to transfer one of your domains, you need to present the new registrar with the correct code.
EPP Transfer Protection in Web Hosting
You can obtain the EPP transfer code for any domain that you have registered through us with only a few mouse clicks from the very same Hepsia Control Panel that you will use to manage your web hosting account. As soon as you visit the Registered Domains section, you will see all your domain names neatly shown in alphabetical order. In case some TLD extension supports transfers between registrars with an EPP code, you’ll notice an EPP button next to the given domain name. If you click that button, the code will be emailed to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the given domain dame. If you want, you can modify the contact details, including the email address, without the need to leave this section of the Control Panel, if the current email address is not valid any longer.
EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you would like to transfer any domain name that’s registered under a semi-dedicated server account away from our company, you can obtain its EPP transfer authorization code with a few mouse clicks from your Hepsia Control Panel. All registered domain names will be displayed in an independent section. Quick-access controls will permit you to use separate features. To get the transfer code, you only have to click on the EPP button, which will be to the right of any domain whose extension supports transfers with an authorization code. Our system will email the code to the domain name registrant’s email, which is currently listed in the domain’s WHOIS record. If you wish, you can change this email from the exact same section of the Control Panel before requesting the transfer authorization code. The change will propagate right away, so you don’t have to wait for the new email to be shown on WHOIS websites.
